V163-4.5 MW™
The V163-4.5 MW™, featuring a large rotor-size-to-rating ratio, helps you realise stable energy output and up to 10% more Annual Energy Production at park level under medium to low wind conditions.
V163-4.5 MW™ at a glance
The V163-4.5 MW™ is an evolutionary optimisation step based on the V150-4.2 MW™ and the V150-4.5 MW™ - some of our most popular turbine models for medium and lower wind segments. Featuring an 18 percent increase in swept area, the V163-4.5 MW™ has a large rotor-size-to-rating ratio resulting in a higher capacity factor, leading to up to 10 percent higher Annual Energy Production at park level depending on site-specific conditions.
This increases power output at lower wind speeds significantly and improves predictability and stability in production, optimising the utilisation of the wind park as well as benefitting the energy grid.

V136-3.45 MW®
V136-3.45 MW® combines advanced aerofoil design with the proven 4 MW nacelle and Large Diameter Steel Tower (LDST) technology, to deliver high and efficient energy production in low- and medium-wind conditions.
V136-3.45 MW® at a glance
V136-3.45 MW® combines advanced aerofoil design with the proven 4 MW nacelle and Large Diameter Steel Tower (LDST) technology, to deliver high and efficient energy production in low- and medium-wind conditions.
The aerofoil design, applied to the 66.7m long blades, enables a 16 percent* increase in annual energy production while at the same time minimising structural loads. Advanced aerodynamics, particularly at the blade tips, and aero add-ons such as Serrated Trailing Edges decrease the maximum noise emission level.
Vestas has 15 years of experience optimising carbon blade application, and the V136-3.45 MW® benefits from advanced use of carbon pultrusions, resulting in light-weight, highly robust blades with optimal performance. The industry leading lightning protection system and highly accelerated lifetime testing ensure high product reliability.
